Cookie policy

CompatHub uses a small amount of browser storage so the site can remember your cookie preferences. Google Analytics is installed site-wide with Consent Mode; analytics cookies are only written if you accept analytics in our consent banner. For broader privacy details see the privacy policy.

Consent preference (localStorage). When you accept or reject analytics we store that choice in your browser under a CompatHub key (not a third-party tracking cookie). This lets us respect your decision on later visits and avoid showing the banner again until you change settings.

Hosting and security systems may also set strictly necessary cookies required to deliver the site securely (for example load balancing or abuse prevention). Those are not used for advertising.

CompatHub includes Google Analytics 4 (gtag.js) with measurement ID G-HB73QCEKG7 in the page head. Using Google Consent Mode, analytics storage stays denied until you choose Accept analytics. After you accept, Google may set first-party analytics cookies (such as _ga) and process usage data (pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP, device/browser information). We configure IP anonymisation where supported.

We do not use Google Analytics for advertising personalisation, and we do not load marketing or social pixels on catalogue pages.

Google acts as a processor/service provider for analytics. Google's own terms and privacy materials apply to their processing. Analytics cookies are not written until you opt in.

• Accept analytics — grants Consent Mode analytics storage so Google Analytics can measure future page views in this browser.
• Reject analytics — keeps analytics storage denied; gtag.js remains in Consent Mode without writing analytics cookies until you accept.

You can also clear site data in your browser settings, which removes the stored consent preference and any analytics cookies previously set.

Under the UK PECR and EU ePrivacy rules, we only store or access non-essential analytics cookies with your consent. Essential storage for remembering that consent itself is permitted as strictly necessary for the service you request. Where UK GDPR / EU GDPR applies to related personal data, consent is also our basis for optional analytics.
